Job duties: This is advanced and specialized technical work, Administrative Support, by the demonstration of the complexity and/or variety of assignments and by relative independence. The incumbent will supervise, train, direct, and provide guidance to a group of staff members.  

Examples of work performed:
  • Handle routine administrative duties for the Court Administrator.    
  • Handle Human Resources, personnel, benefit records, answer payroll questions
  • Manage foreign language and ASL interpreter scheduling.
  • Provide onboarding and instruction to new employees.
  • Handle inquiries from the OJA, all court personnel, judges, attorneys, external stakeholders, jurors, and the public.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; willingness and ability to learn court specific software including JazzHR, GoCo, Centralized Case Management System (CCMS / Odyssey), Finance Enterprise, Questica, and any other technology assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments and divisions within the court system, vendors, and the public.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and monitor expenditures of all departments of the court system.
  • Maintain inventory of all furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain and control maintenance contracts and service work on all machines and equipment, as assigned.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the Court Administrator
Required education and experience: Some training and two or more years of experience in the use of technology and administrative support. Experience may be substituted for the required education and training, or any equivalent education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic.
  • Ability to provide direction and guidance to staff members, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to create professional documents and emails and maintain organized electronic records of the same.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and establish and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Skills in the use of office technology including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and court specific software.
