Job duties: Advanced secretarial and clerical work for the District Court. Serves as Secretary to the District Court Administrator taking dictation, typing correspondence, minutes, vouchers, assisting with billing, reception, work orders, confidential personnel matters, etc. Provides assistance with the budget in preparing forms for department heads and packets for all 4 county commissions. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and ability to manage a wide range of unexpected and frequent disruptions, while maintaining a pleasant disposition in serving the public.
Required education and experience: Graduation from high school, courses in secretarial science and/or secretarial/clerical experience. Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word.
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of the court system or legal experience is preferred. Employee must interact well with the public, including both written and verbal communication skills. Good typing skills, spelling, grammar, and punctuation are beneficial.
