Job Duties: This is technology driven clerical and supervisory work in the office of the Clerk of the District Court. Work responsibilities include supervision of and participation in a wide variety of technical operations requiring specialized clerical knowledge. Typical assignments include performing as lead worker in charge of one or more major areas of court processes or of a technical processing unit. This position is responsible for training subordinates. Additional duties include: reviews and issues documents pursuant to judicial orders, processes reciprocal support actions, prepare docket records that reflect court proceedings all with high accuracy, and other related work as required or assigned. Performance is reviewed through conferences, reports, and on the basis of results obtained.
Preferred education and experience: Graduation from high school and three years of clerical experience, including at least one year of court clerical or other legal experience.
Additional desired abilities: Knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors pertaining to the court. Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures. Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate employees engaged in a variety of activities. Must work well with the public and have good verbal and written communication skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and data entry accuracy required.
