The IT Infrastructure Manager at the Kansas Judicial Branch oversees IT resource deployment, cloud infrastructure migration, and team management to ensure efficient operations. Job duties:
- Manage multiple teams, including daily operations and overseeing the deployment of IT resources.
- Prioritize the implementation of IT strategies that align with business objectives while managing risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and IT security best practices.
- Engage and communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage and optimize staffing and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Responsible for Designing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server in both Azure and on-premises environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, and related directory services.
- Manage and maintain virtualization solutions using VMware, Hyper-V, and other cloud-based platforms.
- Responsible for managing server performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Develop and enforce server security policies, including system hardening and vulnerability management.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, and Application teams to ensure system stability and security.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure issues as needed
- Available during off-hours to direct, manage, troubleshoot and restore critical infrastructure services.
- Document configurations, procedures, and system changes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Three years of working experience in a related IT role or position.
- One year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of planning and managing IT budgets.
- Familiarity with managing relationships with vendors, including reviewing contracts and monitoring service level agreements.
- Experience leading and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Five years of experience in server and / or system administration, with a focus on advanced configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of server hardware and software.
- Proficiency in managing operating systems such as Windows Server and/or Linux/Unix.
- Familiarity with server automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Advanced understanding of networking concepts.
- Understanding of server security principles and experience implementing security measures.
- Experience with server monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex server issues.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with server automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Certification demonstrating foundational skills in server hardware, software, and troubleshooting such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Linux Professional, or CompTIA Server+ Certification is preferred but not required.
