Job duties:   This highly creative position will allow the ideal candidate to join the District Court Management Team and provide insight and guidance into future programs and projects.  This is a highly responsible position, tasked with project management under the direction of the District Court Administrator.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead projects and meet deadlines while properly communicating progress with his/her leadership team.  Project management may include, but is not limited to
  • Project tracking and management for current tools such as Case Center, For the Record Quick Draft, and Drug Court Management Systems
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive court technology management plan
  • Alignment of project management with the court’s strategic goals, with emphasis on improvements in case management, workflow management, access to justice and operational efficiency
  • Coordination of services between the 10th Judicial District Court, Johnson County Justice Information Management Systems (JIMS), and the Office of Judicial Administration
This position will supervise the work of other staff.

Required education and experience:   Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of experience working for or with the court system.  History of managing complex projects and supervising staff is required. Must have a proven ability to work well both independently and on a team.

Preferred qualifications:   Experience with the Odyssey case management system; knowledge of court policy and procedures; knowledge of best practices in court technology and access to justice.
