Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trial Court Clerk II. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing court cases, supporting courtroom operations, and assisting the public, legal professionals, and partner agencies. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the District Court.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately receive, docket, and process court cases
Issue legal documents and follow established court procedures
Schedule hearings and maintain the court calendar
Process payments and prepare court dockets
Provide support and information to judges, attorneys, self-represented litigants, law enforcement, and the general public via phone, email, and in person
Facilitate courtroom proceedings in person and virtually
Operate courtroom recording and virtual conferencing technology
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Make decisions based on applicable laws, rules, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Clerk of the District Court
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of clerical experience (legal or court-related experience preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with virtual platforms such as Zoom
Ability to manage a high volume of calls and in-person interactions
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
