Job Duties: Manages the intake process of all adult offenders being transferred to Wyandotte County from other CSO offices across the state of Kansas. This position also reviews and supervises Interstate Compact offender cases from other states that will be residing in Wyandotte county. This CSO II reviews all requests for transfer in/compact in offenders. The CSO II schedules an interview with the offender, verifies their residence and supervises the case initially, to determine if the case will or will not be accepted for courtesy supervision in our county.
This CSO II position will supervise the Veterans Treatment Court CSO I and Support Staff. Additionally, they will be responsible for the training of staff, as well as working with the other CSO II’s to help develop and implement policies and procedures in the Adult Department. They will also conduct criminal history records checks through the various databases we have access to and serve as one of the agencies TACs as required by KBI/FBI policies. This CSO II will be the primary backup to the Criminal History Investigator. They will need to be trained in Epics and as an Epics Coach; if they are not currently trained then they will be required to complete the Epics and the Coaching training. They will also need to be certified in the LSCMI and WRNA assessment tools and maintain their certification. They will work with local agencies such as the KCKPD, KCK Sheriff’s Department, and all the service providers that deal with the courts. This CSO II position supervises 30-40 adult offenders and will be required to become cross trained in all aspects of services provided by Adult Court Services.

Required Education and Experience:
- Graduation from a four-year accredited college with major course work in a related field.
- Currently working as a CSO.
- Available transportation that is functional, safe and properly insured.
- Copy of college transcript(s) will be required from all applicants if not already on file.
- Must pass criminal history background check.
- Must be certified or able to obtain certification to conduct criminal records checks through KCJIS/ALERT/FBI/KBI.
